Tilly Greene is an American erotic and romantic novelist whose list sits on the BDSM-adjacent shelf: leather, kinky romance, paranormal heat, and short erotic fiction. She writes for adult readers and names power, fetish, and kink instead of fading out at the bedroom door. From the 2000s into the 2010s she published with Torrid, Samhain, and Ellora’s Cave, and also under her own imprint. The digital-era bibliography is long. Readers who want English-language adult romance with power and fetish detail have had her on the mid-list for years.
The bio usually runs west coast, then England, then the east coast. She was born in Southern California, moved to North Yorkshire to continue her education, and settled in New Jersey, writing for the U.S. erotic-romance market across that stretch. The infrastructure was the mid-2000s ebook author’s kit: an official site, a blog called Hot Thoughts, and newsletter-style channels tied to “Monthly Scorcher” feeds. Sales ran heavily through digital storefronts.
Early digital titles
In the mid-2000s her books sat in the first wave of ebook erotic romance, when digital-first houses put explicit plots, including kink-coded ones, in front of mainstream romance readers who were never going to walk into a specialty adult shop. In 2006 Whiskey Creek Press Torrid published Extreme Speed, Total Control. The same year Torrid issued Come, Sweet Creature, and Samhain Publishing issued New Beginnings: Carpe Diem. Also in 2006 came the travel erotica An Invitation to the World, first covering Russia and New Zealand, then China and India in 2007. Those pieces were later collected.
Zandia followed from Samhain Publishing in 2007. Ride ’em came from Ellora’s Cave in 2008, and Highland Heat from Ellora’s Cave in 2009. Torrid, Samhain, and Ellora’s Cave were the shelves.
After 2010: kink on the cover, mixed publishing
From about 2010 the titles and packaging name kink and fetish more openly. Between 2010 and 2011 Torrid published Call Me Lucifer, My Angel, and Good, Bad and Kinky. In 2011 Ellora’s Cave published Missing in Paradise. Self-publishing and house publishing started to mix. Konnichiwa Cowboy (2011), then The Keeper and Special Delivery (2012), sit in that mix. 2012 was a thick year: Leather Bride from Ellora’s Cave, a title that lands on the leather and BDSM romance shelf, plus Taste for Blood and Pleasured in New York City. In 2013 she published Hephaestus Lays Down the Law and Together Again.
As Ellora’s Cave and similar houses restructured, Greene’s releases split between the houses and author-direct editions. The list stayed aimed at readers who want explicit romance with kink texture, not only sweet contemporary.
