Genital Torture and Genitorture: Crime, CBT, and the Kink Word

Genital torture, sometimes spelled genitorture, is a word that points two different ways. In human-rights and criminal writing it means non-consensual torture aimed at the genitals: suffering inflicted without agreement. That is abuse and a crime. It has nothing to do with negotiated erotic play. This page does not describe how that abuse is done. On a kink site the word’s other use is the one that matters: consensual genital pain or sensation, kept inside limits the people involved actually set.

CBT, pussy torture, and related names

In English BDSM speech, the usual name for consensual play on a penis and testicles is cock and ball torture, CBT. With agreement ahead of time, that can mean impact, clamps, weights, ice, wax, rope, or other tools. The parallel names are pussy torture, for the vulva or vagina, and breast torture or nipple torture when the target is the chest. Depending on intensity, people file these under impact play, sensation play, or edgeplay.

Why the bare phrase is a bad label

Writers and party organizers usually prefer the specific labels — CBT, pussy torture, tit torture — over the bare phrase “genital torture.” The bare phrase sounds clinical, or like violence nobody agreed to. When genitorture does show up in fetish copy, it almost always means negotiated erotic torment of the genitals, not an injury done in the real world outside a scene.

What this page is not

As with other genital play, the people involved have to watch circulation, infection, and hard limits, and they need a clear stop signal when someone cannot speak. This is about consenting adults. It is not a how-to. A search for the phrase may also land on breast torture as a consensual practice, or on the industrial metal band Genitorturers, who took the word into their stage show and their album titles. For how a scene is actually negotiated, use the CBT entries and the related write-ups. Do not treat this disambiguation as instructions.
