A fetish club is a nightclub, bar, social club, or other entertainment space for adults who are into some part of fetish fashion, bondage, dominance and submission, or sadism and masochism. Nobody has to be into every branch. Some rooms run play on the floor. Others are mostly for people who want to drink and talk under a dress code and a shared attitude. Specialty fetish events also take over ordinary public venues and nightclubs for a night.

Carnival, not always a dungeon

Not every fetish club is a full dungeon. Some put impact, bondage, and floor play up front. Others are about dancing, drinking, and cruising in latex or leather. People have read the mix as neo-burlesque, freak-show looks, queer style, and body-mod aesthetics at once. Treating the club as a carnival means the night is a temporary refusal of “official” ways of seeing the world, a short collective step outside everyday rules.

House rules before you assume anything

Fetish clubs sit next to university BDSM clubs, private play parties, munches (socials that usually do not include play), sex clubs, and LGBTQ sex clubs. Before you go, read the house rules, the consent policy, whether cameras are banned, and whether any play equipment is actually there. Do not treat the dance floor as a dungeon. The line between areas is something you confirm in the room.
