In Bad Lieutenant 5, Detective Darinka O'Malley continues her double life as a respected police officer and a secret slave to Serbian mob boss Vuk Draganovic. For years, O’Malley has served her master while building friendships and trust in her department, only to betray them when Vuk demands it. As the daughter of Police Chief Collins goes missing, Collins turns to O'Malley to lead the investigation. Unbeknownst to him, O’Malley is the one who relocated his daughter and now works behind the scenes to derail the case.

O’Malley uses her position to manipulate the investigation, ensuring it leads nowhere. She hides her betrayal as she continues to enslave those closest to her, turning over friends and colleagues to Vuk. Meanwhile, Chief Collins grows suspicious, but O'Malley is a master of deceit. Her unwavering devotion to Vuk shows no limits, as she follows his orders without hesitation, even at the cost of her own morality. In this issue, O'Malley’s complex journey as a slave to her master deepens as she sacrifices everyone she once cared about for the man she serves.
