The Galley follows the tragic journey of Baroness Mondford, a noblewoman falsely accused of witchcraft by her jealous rivals. Stripped of her wealth and status, she faces harsh punishment before being condemned to a life of hardship as a rowing slave in the galleys. Her ordeal only deepens at sea, as the galley becomes a place of constant struggle.

The situation worsens when pirates attack the ship, taking her to the Barbary Coast, where she is sold at auction. Purchased by farmers from a remote desert oasis, Baroness Mondford’s nightmare continues as she endures relentless servitude in the unforgiving desert sands.

Zionezo’s vivid and intense art brings to life each moment of Baroness Mondford’s journey, capturing this dark tale of betrayal, resilience, and survival.
